Farmers & Estate Owners

During our design stage, which ran from July 2023 to July 2024, we conducted an ecological baseline assessment of the catchment which you can view on this StoryMap.

We also started to map the landowners in the catchment and introduce ourselves and the aims and objectives of the project.

Using the ecological baseline assessment, we were then able begin conversations with interested landowners about what kinds of nature restoration projects they might be interested in and map that across to what might be possible given the baseline assessment. For woodland creation interest, we then worked with the Woodland Trust to undertake preliminary walkovers.

In 2025, thanks to a Perth & Kinross Council Nature Restoration Fund grant, we have begun working with 4 landowners in the catchment to undertake detailed design surveys for potential nature restoration projects. This marks the beginning of developing a project pipeline and will include options to finance each project from private and public sources. With the help and support of the Woodland Trust, this next stage of work will also include a new round of landowner engagement including investigating the potential to set up a new farmer cluster around water management.

If you are a landowner in the catchment and we have not spoken with you yet, please do get in touch.
